Radio License Class Offered
The Humboldt Amateur Radio Club will offer a class to prepare
students for the Federal Communication Commission?s entry level Amateur
Radio license test, the Technician License.
The class will be held in Eureka at the Eureka Fire Department Training Center,
533 C Street, beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012.
The entrance to the Training Room is from the 6th Street side of the building,
between C and D Streets.
This classes will meet for 9 consecutive Mondays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

The class is free of charge and open to all members of the community. The
required textbook will be available for $30.00.

The class will introduce radio and electronic fundamentals, tips on operating
station equipment, procedures for communicating with other Hams, license and
operating regulations and radio safety.
At the conclusion of the class, students will be able to become licensed Amateur
Radio operators after successfully passing the FCC license test.
Testing is scheduled in Eureka on Saturday, May 19, in the Training Center at
10:00AM.
