On August 22, 2024 the will be an all-day emergency communications drill which will simulate the loss of conventional communication modes (phone, SMS text, Internet, etc.) following a seismic event on the Cascadia Subduction Zone which will involve up to 16 counties in OES Region 2.
In Humboldt County, local OES Operational Area Partners, preparedness teams, and unaffiliated amateur radio operators are invited to participate by sending situation reports radio to Humboldt County OES
